Hello everybody!
Thank you so very much for the kind words, notes, and prayers offered last week on the anniversary of my ordination. I am deeply grateful for your support and for the privilege of serving as your pastor. Please know of my prayers for you and your families as well.
As we move through this Third Week of Advent, I invite you to make room for the Lord in these final days of preparation. This Wednesday, tomorrow, we will offer Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament from after the noon Mass to 3:00 p.m. and Reconciliation at 6:30 p.m. Advent is a beautiful time to slow down, return to the Lord, and allow Him to restore and renew our hearts.
This weekend, we will also have a special opportunity to express our gratitude to Fr. Loi for his ministry among us. Hospitality will be offered after all Masses as a way to say thank you and wish him well. Fr. Loi’s final weekend with us will be December 27–28, and he will celebrate all the Masses that weekend. If you would like to leave a note or card, a card box will be available at the Welcome Desk in the Gathering Space.
At all Masses this weekend, we will also offer a Blessing of the Child in the Womb for expectant mothers and families—an especially fitting moment of prayer during this season as we prepare to welcome the Christ Child.
You’ll find our Christmas Mass schedule in the image above, along with details below regarding holiday office closures. Please plan ahead and join us as we celebrate the great joy of Christ’s birth.
Finally, I’m happy to share some wonderful news: we have reached our Catholic Services Appeal dollar goal! Thank you for your generosity. We are very close to reaching our participation goal as well—just 68 more donors will get us there. If you haven’t yet had the chance to participate, your gift, of any size, can help us cross that finish line together.
Thank you for being such a generous, faith-filled community. May this Advent season continue to draw us closer to the Lord and to one another.
Peace,
Fr. Jeff
