Hello everybody!
At the 11:00 a.m. Mass last Sunday, we had a wonderful celebration with Archbishop Shelton for the blessing and completion of our Beacon of Hope projects. Thanks for those who joined together for the prayer and celebration! In addition to Archbishop Shelton, Dr. Brian Reynolds, the Chancellor for the Archdiocese, Dr. Mary Beth Bowling, the Superintendent of Catholic Schools and founding principal of St. Pats, and Molly Smith and Melissa Herberger, both in the Advancement Office, also joined us. I am grateful for your generosity and the work of so many preparing for this past weekend, but I want to extend special appreciation to Carrie Williamson, our Pastoral Associate, David Naber, our Business Manager, and Dr. Nathan Sturtzel, our Principal, for the extraordinary work they have done for the past three years in bringing these multiple projects to fulfillment. I also want to thank, in a very special way, Lynne Marshall, our Director of Engagement, for the pivotal and significant role she had in the Beacon of Hope Capital Campaign, bringing it to completion, and planning for this past weekend’s blessing and celebration. Thank you Lynne! Thank you everybody!
On Thursday we celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, which is a holy day of obligation. We will have Mass at 8:00 a.m., including the School, and at 7:00 p.m. on December 8. As we honor Mary and God’s preparation in her for the birth of his Son, the messiah, our savior, may we continue to prepare our own hearts for the coming of Jesus.
Finally, this is a special time of year for me to reflect with gratitude on my life and ministry as a priest. I am profoundly grateful for God’s call in my life and the blessing of those whom God has brought into my life through service to the Church, namely, you! I will celebrate my 18th anniversary as a priest on Sunday. Please offer a prayer for me and my ministry. Thanks!
Prepare the way of the Lord. Come, Lord Jesus, come.
Peace,
Fr. Jeff
