MESSAGE FROM FR. JEFF

Hello everybody!

It’s good to be back! After partial knee replacement, a snowstorm, and my annual retreat, I finally made it back to presiding and preaching the masses with our community last Sunday. Thank you for all of your prayers, concern, and support! I have missed you and missed experiencing the faith, prayer, and good works of our community in person. While I am still doing rehab on the knee, I am excited to be back on the journey with you, especially as we prepare to enter the Lenten Season next week with Ash Wednesday. May God continue to guide us and draw each of us closer to his own heart in this season.

You will see below our offerings for Lent, which include addition opportunities for the Sacrament of Reconciliation and the Stations of the Cross. On March 17, the Stations will have a special focus on St. Patrick in honor of our Patron Saint’s Feast Day. Our award winning Fish Fry’s also return! Our same great team will be leading the culinary delights, but we are opening other volunteer opportunities to the entire parish this year (THIS IS NEW!). There have already been some creative additions and energy for the Fish Fry experience. We need your help to keep that energy and enthusiasm rolling for our Fish Fry’s throughout the season as a volunteer. Please see below and sign up to serve!

As the Pastoral Planning Process for the Archdiocese of Louisville moves into its next phase, I ask that you pray again for the discernment needed in that process to ensure a vital and vibrant life of our local church for the future. Some hard decisions will need to be made and the wisdom of God’s people and the Holy Spirit are essential for the Church in the Archdiocese of Louisville to be poised for the current and future challenges and opportunities for ministry, service, stewardship, evangelization, and discipleship. Please keep all of our family, brothers and sisters, across the 24 counties in the Archdiocese of Louisville in your prayers.

In deep gratitude for you and all the blessings of God in my life, I am honored to serve our community as your pastor. May God bless you and all whom you love.

Peace,

Fr. Jeff

Fish Fry Volunteers Needed

This year, we are opening up volunteer opportunities for all parishioners to help. All proceeds from the Fish Fry will go to the St. Patrick Church general fund.

In order to keep volunteering organized, we are utilizing Helper Helper, a volunteer management system. It takes 40 volunteers each week - plus our dedicated Concession Ministry team working behind the scenes on prep and cooking - to make a Fish Fry possible. We need your help! Please click VOLUNTEER NOW to sign up. It will ask you for your email address which you will then confirm through your personal email. Once you sign up, you will be able to use the system for not only Fish Fry but any volunteer opportunities that are set up in the system. All volunteer positions have job descriptions so that you can find what works best for your gifts and abilities. It's a fast and easy way to share your time and talent!

If you have any questions regarding Helper Helper or signing up, please reach out to Carrie Williamson at cwilliamson@stpatlou.org or by calling the Parish Office at 244-6083, ext. 119.

TAKE ACTION

Important Security Alert: Phishing Scams

Please stay vigilant! Scammers are once again sending fraudulent emails to parishioners impersonating Father Jeff. Please be advised that Fr. Jeff, Fr. Will, and Fr. Tony will never solicit help or gift cards via email or text. While you should always verify the sender's address, please note that sophisticated bad actors can sometimes mimic valid addresses. If you are unsure, do not respond - instead, contact the parish office directly for verification.

SEE YOU THERE!
