Hello everybody!
It’s good to be back! After partial knee replacement, a snowstorm, and my annual retreat, I finally made it back to presiding and preaching the masses with our community last Sunday. Thank you for all of your prayers, concern, and support! I have missed you and missed experiencing the faith, prayer, and good works of our community in person. While I am still doing rehab on the knee, I am excited to be back on the journey with you, especially as we prepare to enter the Lenten Season next week with Ash Wednesday. May God continue to guide us and draw each of us closer to his own heart in this season.
You will see below our offerings for Lent, which include addition opportunities for the Sacrament of Reconciliation and the Stations of the Cross. On March 17, the Stations will have a special focus on St. Patrick in honor of our Patron Saint’s Feast Day. Our award winning Fish Fry’s also return! Our same great team will be leading the culinary delights, but we are opening other volunteer opportunities to the entire parish this year (THIS IS NEW!). There have already been some creative additions and energy for the Fish Fry experience. We need your help to keep that energy and enthusiasm rolling for our Fish Fry’s throughout the season as a volunteer. Please see below and sign up to serve!
As the Pastoral Planning Process for the Archdiocese of Louisville moves into its next phase, I ask that you pray again for the discernment needed in that process to ensure a vital and vibrant life of our local church for the future. Some hard decisions will need to be made and the wisdom of God’s people and the Holy Spirit are essential for the Church in the Archdiocese of Louisville to be poised for the current and future challenges and opportunities for ministry, service, stewardship, evangelization, and discipleship. Please keep all of our family, brothers and sisters, across the 24 counties in the Archdiocese of Louisville in your prayers.
In deep gratitude for you and all the blessings of God in my life, I am honored to serve our community as your pastor. May God bless you and all whom you love.
Peace,
Fr. Jeff
