MESSAGE FROM FR. JEFF

Hello everybody!

Happy snowy Tuesday! When our parish and school are closed, of course, it is disruptive to the life and activities of our community. There is always some sense of loss for me when that happens, but often God is found in the unexpected and disruptive if we look for him. I hope you encounter him in some small way today. Please stay safe and, as a reminder, our inclement weather policy is below.

Fr. Loi should arrive home this evening. He texted me yesterday from the Tokyo airport on a layover and was glad to be on his way back. I have missed him and am looking forward to his safe return. Please say a prayer for his travels, especially because of our weather. I am grateful to Fr. Tony and Fr. Michael Greenwell for their help while Fr. Loi has been away.

This Sunday we will host another one of our next New Parishioner gatherings at 9:30am in Miles Meeting Room. Did you know that over the past 3 years, we have welcomed about 400 new families to our community? Families have a choice when deciding on their faith community and I am grateful that you made the faith decision to make St. Patrick your home. We are better with you here! If you have joined over the past year and have not yet had an opportunity to attend one of these quarterly gatherings, please reach out to Lynne Marshall, Director of Engagement, at 244-6083 or lmarshall@stpatlou.org and let her know if you can be there this Sunday. We spend about an hour together with coffee and donuts, you get to meet clergy, parish staff, and ministry leaders, and we get to learn more about you. Hope to see you there!

Please keep me in your prayers next week. I will be on retreat starting Monday and returning on Saturday. The Church directs priests to have at least a five day annual retreat to grow in spirituality and relationship with God. For me, it is one of the ways I fill up my well and stay connected to the vine. Thanks for your prayers. I will be praying for you!

Peace,

Fr. Jeff
