MESSAGE FROM FR. JEFF

Hello everybody!

As we enter the Second Week of Lent, the Church continues to give us simple, steady opportunities to pray, fast, and give together as a parish family.

This week we have Eucharistic Adoration on Tuesday from 3:00–7:00 p.m., with Taizé prayer at 6:00 p.m. Stations of the Cross will be prayed on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m., led by the Knights of Columbus and the Fishermen. And of course, our Fish Fry continues Friday evening. I am deeply grateful to the many volunteers who make these evenings possible. We are still in need of additional workers this Friday, so please consider signing up through the Helper Helper link below. These gatherings are not just events; they are moments of gathering together and shared service that strengthen our parish life.

As part of our Hallow partnership, we will also offer a Lenten Parish Mission on Sunday, March 22 from 6:30–8:30 p.m. in the church. Our mission speaker, Casey Phillips from Lexington, will lead us in reflecting on the theme, “Return to the Father.” This will be a family-friendly evening, so please feel free to bring your children and join us for what I hope will be a meaningful time of prayer and renewal. Check out Casey’s video here.

You may recall that in my February 17 Celtic Communicator, I mentioned that I would be sharing more about an initiative related to how we communicate and engage with one another as a parish community. A separate email will be sent on Thursday, March 5, with our Parish Communication Guidelines.

As our parish continues to grow, we are blessed with passionate, committed parishioners who care deeply about our ministries and mission. That passion is a gift. At times, however, strong feelings can lead to conversations or exchanges that fall short of the charity to which we are called as disciples of Jesus Christ. These guidelines are meant to help us remain rooted in respect, civility, and a shared commitment to the good of the whole community. They apply to parishioners, students, faculty, and staff alike. We are seeking to extend our welcome, protect our unity, and strengthening our witness.

Lent calls each of us to conversion of heart. Part of that conversion includes how we speak, how we listen, and how we treat one another. I hope you will receive our Communication Guidelines in that spirit.

Thank you for the many ways you continue to build up St. Patrick through prayer, service, and generosity. God bless you and those you love.

Peace,

Fr. Jeff

TAKE ACTION

Important Security Alert: Phishing Scams

Please stay vigilant! Scammers are once again sending fraudulent emails to parishioners impersonating Fr. Jeff. Please be advised that Fr. Jeff, Fr. Will, and Fr. Tony will never solicit help or gift cards via email or text. While you should always verify the sender's address, please note that sophisticated bad actors can sometimes mimic valid addresses. If you are unsure, do not respond - instead, contact the parish office directly for verification.

SEE YOU THERE!
