MESSAGE FROM FR. JEFF

Hello everybody!

Happy Derby week! It is always a fun and festive time in our community, and I hope you are able to enjoy it with family and friends. Picking Derby winners is not my area of competence, however, Commandment seems like a good bet! Please note, too, that there will be no 5:00 p.m. Mass on Saturday, May 2.

This past weekend, we began our annual stewardship renewal process for the 2026–27 fiscal year. Thank you to all who have already responded. As a parish, we are focusing on all three pillars of stewardship—time, talent, and treasure—recognizing that each of us has a role to play in building up the life of this community. A parish-wide email was sent on April 24 with a link to complete your commitment online. For those who prefer, hard copy forms are available at the Welcome Desk. I encourage you to take a few moments to prayerfully consider how you are being called to participate, to listen to the voice of Jesus and follow where he leads you. All forms are due by May 15.

Thanks as well to the Knights of Columbus for hosting the pancake breakfast this past Sunday. It was a great opportunity for fellowship and community.

We are also now accepting nominations for both the Pastoral Council and the School Board for the 2026–27 year. This is an important opportunity to help shape the future of our parish and school. You can submit nominations online or through hard copies available at the Welcome Desk and School Office. New members will be drawn on Pentecost, May 24 at the 11:00 a.m. Mass.

Thank you for your continued commitment to St. Patrick and for the many ways you contribute to our shared mission. God bless you and those you love.

Peace,

Fr. Jeff

Important Security Alert: Phishing Scams

Please stay vigilant! Scammers are once again sending fraudulent emails to parishioners impersonating Fr. Jeff. Please be advised that Fr. Jeff, Fr. Will, and Fr. Tony will never solicit help or gift cards via email or text. While you should always verify the sender's address, please note that sophisticated bad actors can sometimes mimic valid addresses. If you are unsure, do not respond - instead, contact the parish office directly for verification.

GIVING TOGETHER

CRS Rice Bowl Collection Results

CRS Rice Bowl is the official Lenten program of Catholic Relief Services. Seventy-five percent of all contributions support Catholic Relief Services, the international humanitarian agency of the U.S. Catholic Bishops, funding life-saving programs in more than 100 countries worldwide. The remaining 25 percent stays within our local community through Catholic Charities of Louisville, supporting vital social outreach efforts across the Archdiocese.

We are grateful for the generosity of our parish and school communities. This year’s collection totals are as follows:

  • Parish Collection: $1,691
  • School Collection: $2,006
  • Total Collection: $3,697

SERVING TOGETHER

Pastoral Council & School Board Nominations

Now is the time to nominate yourself or someone you know to serve on our Pastoral Council and School Board.

The Pastoral Council is the advisory Board to the pastor. Members advise the pastor in planning for the pastoral development of the parish and should have deep faith, imagination, broad experience and sound judgement. Members serve a three-year term and meet once a month, with the exception of December, June and July.

The School Board serves in an advisory role to assist the Pastor and Principal on matters relating to school policies. Members serve a three year term and meet seven times throughout the year. Members should be committed to the success of Catholic education and be able to work with others in achieving consensus for the good of the entire school community.

Hard copy forms located at the Welcome Desk in the church or School Office or scan the QR code below for online submissions.

Please return hard copy forms to the green box on the Welcome Desk in the gathering space no later than Sunday, May 10. The drawings will take place on Pentecost Sunday, May 24 at 11:00 a.m. Mass. Contact the parish office if you have any questions. Thank you in advance for your prayerful discernment and support of this process.
