MESSAGE FROM FR. JEFF

Hello everybody!

In addition to the stretch from Thanksgiving to Christmas, the time from Easter to the end of the school year is among the busiest in the rhythm of parish life. From the celebration of Triduum, to Divine Mercy, to First Communion, to Baptisms, to numerous school events and celebrations, to our Eighth Grade Graduation and many individual graduations, and all manner of activities in between, our community keeps hopping! Added to that this year, we have mourned the death of Pope Francis and celebrated God’s gift of Pope Leo XIV as our new shepherd. As we approach the last day of school on Friday, I am grateful to God for the life and vitality, the faith and the service, of our parish family. Thank you for making our community what it is: a beacon of Christ’s love!

Of course, our ministry offerings and opportunities continue and I encourage you to keep an eye on the upcoming calendar for ways to participate. We will have mass on Memorial Day at 10:00 a.m., but the Parish Office will be closed in observance of the holiday. You may have seen The Record article about changes in posture at mass. Please look for more information in the coming weeks. You may have also seen that the Archdiocese of Louisville is embarking upon a parish planning process. Please pray for this process as we begin, like all of the parishes in the Archdiocese, by preparing a report about St. Patrick over the summer. Thanks.

Thank you, as well, for the generous response to our increased offertory program. We will provide an update on those efforts the first week of June. I extend my appreciation to those who have submitted a commitment card already. We need everyone’s support to continue our vital ministries and service the debt we incurred building the Preschool, replacing our HVAC, and, especially, the additional debt of the roof replacement. There is still the opportunity to make a commitment here. Thank you!

May God be with you and all those whom you love!

Peace,

Fr. Jeff

Pastoral Council & School Board Nominations

Deadline approaching to nominate yourself or someone you know to serve on our Pastoral Council and School Board.

The Pastoral Council is the advisory Board to the pastor. Members advise the pastor in planning for the pastoral development of the parish and should have deep faith, imagination, broad experience and sound judgement. Members serve a three-year term and meet once a month, with the exception of December, June and July.

The School Board serves in an advisory role to assist the Pastor and Principal on matters relating to school policies. Members serve a three year term and meet seven times throughout the year. Members should be committed to the success of Catholic education and be able to work with others in achieving consensus for the good of the entire school community.

You may submit nominations in the following ways:

TAKE ACTION

Time and Talent for 2025/26

We updated our 2025/26 Ministry Guidebook and Directory which you will receive in early June. As a reminder, because of our Increased Offertory Program, we did not conduct a formal renewal of time and talent for the upcoming fiscal year beginning July 1, 2025. This is optional, if you choose to update time and talent, use the online form on the parish website. PLEASE NOTE: Your current time and talent will carry over unless you submit a new form.

Increased Offertory Program - Important Information

Thanks to those who have responded with a commitment to our Increased Offertory Program to help address our current budget and debt service. We have received commitments from approximately 31% of our parish families. It is not too late to submit your commitment card as we need everyone's participation for the success of this effort.
