MESSAGE FROM FR. JEFF

Hello everybody!

Our Director for Youth Ministry, Jonna O’Bryan, has accepted the position of Associate Director for Youth and Young Adult Ministry with the Archdiocese of Louisville. This is a wonderful opportunity for her to use her many gifts and extensive experience to serve the broader Church. I am confident that the Holy Spirit is guiding her into this next chapter with purpose and grace. She will begin her new ministry on July 1, 2025, and we will have the opportunity to thank her for her years of ministry at St. Patrick and say goodbye closer to that time. Please join me in congratulating Jonna O’Bryan on her new role!

Along with other parishes in the Archdiocese of Louisville, we will be collecting for the Crusade for Children this coming weekend. Fr. Tony Smith, our retired priest in residence, has served on the board for the Crusade for many years. Options for ways to give are in the calendar below. Thank you for your generosity to this important community effort.

Thanks to those who made nominations for the Pastoral Council and School Board. Nominees will be contacted and, with the invocation of the Holy Spirit, we will draw new members on Pentecost at the 11:00 a.m. mass.

Please pray for the priests of the Archdiocese, including myself, Fr. Loi, and Fr. Tony, next week as we gather for our annual Presbyteral Assembly at St. Meinrad. We will have communion services from Monday through Thursday at our normal mass times. Thanks for your prayers.

We have successfully concluded another school year. My gratitude to all of our faculty, staff, families, and students! May they have a restful, safe, and enriching summer and may God’s blessings be upon us all!

Peace,

Fr. Jeff
