Hello everybody!
Thank you for your prayers during the Presbyteral Assembly last week. It was a good and challenging week calling me and my brother priests to the ideal of priesthood of Jesus Christ. It’s his priesthood, not ours. As always, it was a blessing to pray and fellowship with my brothers in the Archdiocese!
It was great this past weekend to celebrate 13 baptisms in our community and to bring back the distribution of the Precious Blood from the chalice. Thank you to all who make our worship and ministry welcoming, meaningful, and personal. I am grateful for how you embody Jesus for others!
I would like to recognize Mike Sandfort, who has been our Finance Council Chair during the Beacon of Hope Campaign and the pandemic, and express my gratitude for his leadership and years of service. Mike and his wife are relocating to South Carolina to be closer to some of their family. May they go with God’s blessings!
Please join me, Fr. Quan, and Dave Naber in welcoming Tom Gilman as the new Chair of the Finance Council. Tom is well qualified for this position as he has served on the Finance Council for 8 years and recently retired as VP Finance for Toshiba US Operations. His good counsel during the planning and execution of capital projects for Beacon of Hope and guidance through the pandemic years was very valuable to our mission at St Patrick. He has been an important part of our team. My gratitude to Tom for stepping up in this important leadership role.
I hope you have a wonderful Father’s Day weekend. The Parish Office will be closed on Monday in observance of Juneteenth. Mass on Monday will be at 10:00 a.m. on our holiday schedule. God bless you and your family!
Peace,
Fr. Jeff
