Financial Reporting Update on Budget and Debt Service
We've had some questions regarding the financial reporting of stewardship and would like to provide some clarification.
Step One:
Last fall, after consultation with the Finance Council, we modified our previous weekly stewardship reporting to a more comprehensive year-to-date picture of our financials. You will notice a line item was added last fall, One Time Gifts YTD, to reflect the impact from our small group gatherings in response to our immediate financial challenges with budget and debt service. We received $270,380 from 33 families who gave a one-time gift. In addition, 21 of these families immediately increased their current 2024/25 stewardship commitment totaling approximately $50,000 . As of July 1, 2025, this one time gift line item will be removed from the reporting and not carry over to the new fiscal year budget.
Step Two:
The next step in our financial plan involved the Increased Offertory Program. This effort launched in March 2025 and continues to be a vital part of our plan to address our budget needs. To date we have received increased offertory commitments from 469 out of 1450 active families, which represents commitment from 32% of our parish families.
In order to meet the financial needs of our parish and supporting the ministries we all value, we need broader participation. If you haven’t yet made a commitment, we invite you to join us. Every gift, no matter the size, makes a meaningful impact.
