Hello everybody!
I returned this week from the Presbyteral Assembly at St. Meinrad grateful for the opportunity our priests have each year for prayer, fraternity, and ongoing formation. Thank you to everyone who assisted with Communion Services, parish activities, and ministry responsibilities while myself, Fr. Tony, and Fr. Wilfredo were away. Please know that the priests of the Archdiocese kept you and your intentions in our prayers throughout the week.
This month, the bishops of the United States have invited us to renew our devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus by consecrating our nation to His Sacred Heart on June 11. In a world that can often seem divided and uncertain, the Heart of Christ reminds us of God's unfailing love, mercy, and compassion. Please join me in praying for our country, our leaders, our communities, and for a deeper conversion of heart in each of us.
This Sunday at the 11:00 a.m. Mass, we will offer blessings for three members of our parish staff as they begin new chapters in their lives. We will pray for Fr. Wilfredo as he prepares for his new assignment, for Dr. Nathan Sturtzel as he concludes his leadership at St. Patrick School, and for Lynne Marshall as she approaches retirement after years of dedicated service to our community. I hope you will join us as we express our gratitude and ask God's blessing upon them.
Finally, thank you to everyone who has participated in the Baby Bottle Boomerang in support of Little Way Pregnancy Center. If you still have a bottle at home, please remember that the collection concludes on Father's Day weekend. Your generosity makes a meaningful difference in the lives of mothers, fathers, and children in our community.
Thank you for the many ways you continue to build up the life of St. Patrick through your faith, generosity, and witness. May the Sacred Heart of Jesus protect you!
Peace,
Fr. Jeff
