Hello everybody!
I had a great vacation visiting with my dad and family for four days in Colorado and, then, with cousins at a cabin in the mountains of eastern Tennessee. I do like traveling, but I am always glad to get back to my home. A special thanks to Fr. Loi and all the staff for their efforts while I was away.
For a couple of weeks, Deacon Scott has been dealing with some health issues and asked me to share an update with you. After many tests, the diagnosis of Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma has been confirmed and Deacon Scott is now working with a skilled team to develop an effective treatment plan. While we had been in communication while I was away, I was able to visit with him and offer him the sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick this afternoon. He deeply appreciates your support and says, "Your prayers are the best medicine I can have."
Sister Dora, who came for our annual mission appeal last weekend, was very grateful for your generosity. She wrote, “What a joy to be able to meet you, Fr. Loi, Fr. Tony, the Deacon and your lovely parishioners. You have taught me through your speech, example of out reach, hospitality and more. ‘Thank you’ is just a simple word to express the gratitude of the Little Sisters, our residents and our helpers for the trust and generous support you have given us. Our prayers for you, your family and the entire household of St. Patrick’s Church is our ‘Thank you’ to you. May God bless each one abundantly!” As always, thank you for your generosity!
God bless you!
Peace,
Fr. Jeff
