Hello everybody!
This weekend we begin the annual Catholic Services Appeal (CSA), whose theme this year is “Giving Hope to All.” That’s exactly what our faith is about—becoming channels of Christ’s hope, mercy, and love to others. Each gift we make, each act of service we offer, is more than just a duty—it’s a way of sharing the hope that has first been given to us in Christ. You can learn more and watch Archbishop Shelton’s message HERE.
This weekend we also celebrate Priesthood Sunday. I am deeply grateful for my brother priests, Fr. Loi and Fr. Tony, who serve so generously in our community. I am also grateful for Fr. Oz who continues to reside at Nazareth Home. I am just as grateful for all of you, who remind me daily of the joy and privilege it is to serve as a priest. Please keep us in your prayers, that we may always be faithful shepherds pointing the way to Jesus.
Finally, as we turn toward October, our calendar is full of opportunities to live out our stewardship—through prayer, formation, service, and fellowship. I especially encourage you to participate in Respect Life Month activities, whether by prayer, donating for the women served by the Little Way Pregnancy Resource Center or Lifehouse Maternity Home, or gathering as a community of faith. These many opportunities aren’t just events; they are invitations to encounter Christ together.
May we continue to walk as a parish family who welcomes, prays, learns, gives, serves, and joins together as a beacon of Christ’s love.
Peace,
Fr. Jeff
