Hello everybody!
It was exciting to welcome our new and returning students and families for the first day of school. Having been prepared by our maintenance team all summer, it is like our facilities take in a deep breath of life as students, parents, faculty and staff walk into the building. May this school year be a time when that life flourishes with God!
We have also welcomed 64 new families in our parish community since the beginning of the calendar year. Welcome home! This Sunday, August 17, we will host our quarterly new parishioner welcome gathering at 9:30 a.m. in Miles Hall Meeting Room. If you have not attended one of these events and would like to learn more about St. Patrick and how to get involved, please join us.
Our Summer Social is this Saturday night from 6-9pm in the lower parking lot by the Celtic Center. The Knights of Columbus will be grilling, Fr. Loi is making 500 egg rolls, and there will be inflatables and activities for kids. If you're new to St. Patrick, it's a great way to meet people and experience how "We are St. Pat's.” Come have some fun!
On Friday, August 15, we celebrate the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This holy day of obligation provides us the opportunity to honor our Blessed Mother as we look to her as an example of faithful discipleship and yield our hearts to the grace of God, which was at work in her and is at work in us, as well. Masses for the holy day will be at Noon and 7:00 p.m.
