MESSAGE FROM FR. JEFF

Hello everybody!

Our school year is off to a great start! Thanks to our families, students, faculty, and staff for their efforts and enthusiasm this past week. It’s always a blessing to be able to celebrate the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary during the first week of school. Thanks, as well, to all of those who participated and shared their gifts for liturgical ministries at our parish celebrations last Friday for the holy day of obligation. Likewise, I am grateful to the Knights of Columbus and all of the volunteers who helped make our Summer Social a success, including those who helped Fr. Loi make the delicious egg rolls enjoyed by so many. Thanks to all!

Thanks to all who offered condolences for the death of my cousin. Dan was my mom’s first cousin and they were very close. I celebrated his funeral last Wednesday at St. Agnes Parish in Fort Wright, Kentucky. My thanks to Fr. Tony and staff who made adjustments to their schedules so that I could be available to be with my family to remember Dan, pray for him, and pray with each other. May he rest eternally in God’s love.

For families whose children do not attend St. Patrick Catholic School, we are taking registrations now for our PREP (Parish Religious Program), grades K through 6th, and for 7th and 8th grade students, the CFP (Confirmation Formation Program). Contact Joanie Hendricks, Director of Children's Formation at 244-6083 if you have any questions.

May the God of new beginnings and fresh starts guide each of us on our faith journeys as we put our trust in him.

Peace,

Fr. Jeff
