MESSAGE FROM FR. JEFF

Hello everybody!

I hope you are enjoying the beautiful weather!

For those of you who give with our offertory envelopes, I wanted to make you aware of an issue. There was an error in production with our vendor, Our Sunday Visitor, for the current offertory envelopes that are mailed to parishioner homes bi-monthly. The monthly Saint Vincent De Paul (SVDP) envelopes were excluded and a school envelope was erroneously included. For those who give to SVDP, please use the school envelope and mark it SVDP until the next mailing arrives with the correct envelopes. You can also give to SVDP online via Pushpay HERE and choose the SVDP fund. Thanks for your help!

Thank you to all who faithfully give to St. Patrick and those that increased your commitment this year. If you look at the weekly stewardship numbers in the bulletin, you’ll see that we are doing well so far. We will closely monitor that as the fiscal year unfolds, but I appreciate your generosity. I also wanted to share a good milestone. Through the first eight months of the calendar year we have reduced the debt principal to below $5 million.

Debt at 1/1/25

$5,236,359

Principal payments through 8/25/25

($238,934)

Debt at 8/25/25

$4,997,425

We still have a long way to go, but we are making progress. Thank you.

With the many opportunities we have for adult and children’s faith formation and learning together, I wanted to highlight a new offering. We are starting a Book Club that will meet for

three sessions to discuss Why Do Saints and Angels Matter? This may be a good option for you if making a longer commitment to a Bible study is difficult at this time. Please see the information below.

It looks as though Labor Day Weekend is shaping up to be a beautiful one. As a reminder, our mass on Labor Day, September 1, will be at 10:00 a.m. and the parish office will be closed. May God bless all of those who labor and may this holiday be a time of God’s refreshment for you.

Peace,

Fr. Jeff
