Dear Community,
As summer unfolds, we remain grateful for the many individuals, organizations, and community partners who stand alongside The Coordinating Center in our shared mission of helping people with disabilities, chronic illnesses, and complex medical needs live their lives with dignity, independence, and opportunity.
One such partner is The Wiessner Foundation, Inc., whose generosity continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the people we serve. Thanks to their recent support, we were able to expand The Center’s Comfort & Engagement Grants for children living with disabilities or complex medical needs. This initiative was initially started during COVID and has since helped over 150 children access resources that bring them comfort, joy or meaningful engagement.
In June, our team came together at our annual BBQ to celebrate being named a 2026 USA TODAY Top Workplace, an achievement made possible by the passion, dedication, and unwavering commitment of our coworkers. This recognition reflects the incredible people who bring our mission to life every day and make The Coordinating Center such a special place to work.
Every day, we are reminded that meaningful change happens when communities come together. Thank you for being part of that change, and for helping us build a future where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

At The Coordinating Center, we believe in giving back to other organizations through community service. That's why year round you can see our coworkers volunteering through #TCCInAction programs around the state.
Recently Coworkers volunteered through #TCCInAction at Moveable Feast, where they helped prepare 850 meals!
In June we had the pleasure of welcoming four volunteers from AbbVie to The Coordinating Center for a meaningful day of service and learning. As part of AbbVie’s annual week-long commitment to community service, team members spent time learning about our mission, including our Homeless Support Services (HSS) programs and The Center’s Bridge Fund.
AbbVie volunteers rolled up their sleeves to create no-sew blankets for individuals participating in HSS programs and painted colorful Kindness Rocks to support The Center's Bridge Fund. Their generosity, creativity, and compassion will have a lasting impact on the people we serve.

AbbVie Volunteers In Action | | |
In June, our team had the opportunity to share expertise and learn alongside case management professionals from across the country at the 2026 Case Management Society of America (CMSA) Annual Conference & Expo in Las Vegas.
"Less Drama, More CARE: Inclusive Talk for Teams & Clients," presented by Dianne Edwards-Barnes, People & Culture Equity Strategist and Erica Bostwick, Vice President, Human Resources explored strategies for fostering inclusive communication and stronger relationships with coworkers and clients.
"Managing the Margins: Case Management in Mixed-Status Immigrant Families," presented by Sharyn King, Sr. Vice President, Population Health (pictured to the right) with virtual participation from Ruja Luitel, Director, Quality Improvement and Outcomes Management, highlighted the unique challenges faced by mixed-status families and the role case managers play in helping individuals navigate complex systems of care.

Our community impact extended beyond the conference stage. Priscilla Lissik, Program Director of Homeless Support Services, represented The Coordinating Center at the Montgomery County Homeless Memorial, sponsored by the Interagency Commission on Homelessness. This meaningful event honored the lives of individuals who experienced homelessness and reinforced the importance of collaboration, compassion, and advocacy in addressing housing instability. As the father of Arsalan and Sareen, two young adults on the autism spectrum, Salman has spent over two decades helping his children access the support, opportunities, and community resources they need to live independent and meaningful lives.
