There are some amazing free services provided by The Center for Vulnerable Children located at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center. This program not only serves the homeless population but includes students at risk as follows:
1. Homelessness
2. Substance Abuse
3. Dropout prevention
4. Teen pregnancy
5. Juvenile Justice populations
6. Poverty/family dysfunction
7. Chronic Disease
The services are FREE including the following:
1. Medical Evaluation
2. Dental Screening
3. Developmental assessment
4. Mental Health assessment
5. Cognitive assessment
6. Trauma assessment
7. Immunization review
8. Care management plan development
9. Communication with student providers
In addition, immunizations and TB testing may be provided for school age students and transportation may be provided.
