CHAMBER BUZZ
The Future of Selby Gardens
As the recent winner of the Small Business of the Year Award at the Frank G. Berlin, Sr. Small Business Awards, Marie Selby Botanical Gardens is an exceptional local organization and member of our Chamber.

For more than three years, Selby Gardens has been working to design a Master Plan to preserve its 15 acres in downtown Sarasota as a world-class botanical garden. To make this dream a reality, they need your help! Please consider signing their petition to tell the City of Sarasota's City Commissioners and local Planning Board members that you support the Master Plan!

The project will protect irreplaceable collections from rising sea levels and hurricanes while adding 50 percent more walkable garden space to Selby Gardens’ existing footprint. It will also turn the property into the first "net-positive" botanical garden complex in the world - meaning more energy will be generated than consumed.

The Master Plan creates diverse opportunities to connect individuals with their mission and will also help sustain Selby Gardens for decades to come.
