The City of Dana Point Partnering with Fellow OC Cities to Help 100 Businesses for 100 Days
The City of Dana Point is proud to support businesses throughout Orange County on Saturday February 23, 2013 at Concordia University by participating in an event called "Helping 100 Businesses for 100 Days." This innovative 13-week program has been offered in partnership with several cities throughout Southern California since 2010 and is now expanding to help the entire county business community.

Home-based businesses, solopreneurs, entrepreneurs and those "under the radar" are encouraged to attend, as well as those needing guidance or assistance in expansion planning or developing strategies. The City of Dana Point is committed to helping all businesses within our city, as well as inviting potential new businesses in to find out how wonderful the city is to open a business.
Citywide Quiet Zone Coming to Dana Point
Starting Feb. 14, Dana Point will join the list of quiet-zone communities in Orange County. New railroad crossing safety enhancements were completed at the Palisades Drive/Beach Road railroad crossing in Dana Point in 2012 as part of the Orange County Transportation Authority's (OCTA) rail safety enhancement program. The improvements led the way for the establishment of the quiet zone, an area along the tracks where train horns are not routinely sounded.

To date, 38 crossings have been designated quiet zones throughout the county in the cities of Anaheim, Orange, Dana Point, Irvine, Tustin, San Clemente and Santa Ana.
