MIKE'S MUSINGS
A note from the desk of CRCC President and CEO Mike Throne:
After a few days of 90-plus temperatures and high humidity, golfers prepping for Friday's Par-Mar Stores Valero Cup might have thought they were in for tropical temperatures.

But just like the Chamber ordered, the morning started with cooler temperatures and a slight breeze and the event held form with bright sunshine, blue skies and moderate heat and humidity.

If you missed it, check out our 300-plus photos from the Chamber's golf outing here. It was a pretty perfect day on the Jaycees Golf Course, even if the scores were less than perfect. Besides, a bad day of golf might be better than the best day behind a desk.

Special thanks to our main sponsor Par-Mar Stores for their support this year, and also to Kevin Ross and Triple Crown Family Fun Center for their gold sponsorship of the food at the outing as well. McDonald's and Crispie Crème Donut Shop sponsored our breakfast and Corky Que's provided the lunch.

Raffle prizes were donated by Walmart, Whited Seigneur Sams and Rahe CPAs, Chuck Eyre of Douglas Industries, iHeartMedia of Chillicothe, and the Chamber's board of directors. We also had more than 120 door prizes donated by 99 different businesses, which made for a great time for all who participated.

Landmark Properties took home the Valero Cup this year with a 53, while Jay Dailey's team took second (57) and the Chillicothe City Schools foursome placed third (59). Easter Seals took home the Integrity Award.

Thanks again to all who participated, helped, and to Tom Zeller and the Jaycees G.C. staff for all their help in making our event a great success!
