A NOTE FROM OUR PRESIDENT & CEO

Today, our thoughts are with the community of Westerville as they lay to rest off
icers Anthony Morelli and Eric Joering. Around 10 AM, a procession of Chillicothe Police and R oss County Sheriff cruisers left Chillicothe with lights on and sirens squawking on their way to Westerville t join others from around the country to honor these fallen heroes. We appreciate Sheriff Lavender and Chief Washburn for supporting our friends in Westerville during their time of loss and sorrow. This week, the clock tower above the Ross County Courthouse also was illuminated in blue to show our town's support for our first responders.

Support is continuing to grow in the nomination
process for the Hopewell Culture World Heritage designation. Earlier this week, U.S. Congressman Brad Wenstrup sent President Trump a letter encouraging him to support the nomination in spite of the United States withdrawal from the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). To read the letter,  click here.

News is starting to spread around our community about new businesses and restaurants getting ready to move or begin here. It was reported by the Chillicothe Gazette this week that Captain D's is considering a location in Chillicothe. They have been meeting with local representatives for many months looking for the right location. Also, reports on Facebook have Raising Canes considering a location on North Bridge Street and a new pizza establishment locating along East Main Street. It also appears that Harbor Freight will begin accepting applications soon for employees at their new North Bridge Street location in the Chillicothe Mall. We'll keep you posted on final details when announcements from these businesses are made.
