Congratulations to the winners of our 2018 awards at the Chillicothe Ross Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting, held earlier this week.

This year we wanted to share how important it is for all of us to work together to build a strong community. That's what it takes to make a great community to live, work and play. Thanks to all of the table sponsors who really out did themselves this year. The tables were wonderful. Thank you for not only attending, but for making the event special for those who sat at your decorated table.
And I hope that everyone who attended enjoyed their meal. Our community caterers do a fantastic job and the food was awesome. Also, our beverage sponsors, Two Roasting Joes, GEM Beverages, Classic Brands and our team of young professional from EPIC, helped round out the food and beverage enjoyment.
This is an important event. It's your Annual Meeting. It's the one time a year that we can get together to share the activities of the past year and look ahead to the rest of this one. It's always a great event and I'm so privileged to work with a team of highly qualified professionals who have your best interest at heart. Your chamber team is here for you. But as I said during my report, YOU are the chamber. We're just the employees who are here to assist in helping you to be a success. Please don't forget to contact us with comments, suggestions or ideas. We're here to help, advocate, and assist. But you are the reason our community is moving forward. You and your business is what is making our economy stronger and making Chillicothe a destination once again. Thank you for all you do and for allowing your chamber team to be a part.
Also this week, we hosted one of the largest Job Expos in southern Ohio today. We had about 10 fewer employers this year than in years' past. But that shows the growth of our economy. Some businesses are still finding it hard to seek qualified employees, but others are doing well.
Don't forget about our next big event - The Southern Ohio Home & Garden Show, coming up April 7 & 8 at the Ross County Fairgrounds. This is going to be a great event, so don't miss it.
