The Geneva Area Chamber of Commerce held its annual Membership Harvest Celebration at an all-new venue on Wednesday, October 19 at Lincoln Hill Farms in Canandaigua. Member businesses and regional partners from various Finger Lakes communities attended the event with their employees and families.

This year’s Harvest Celebration showcased a custom menu that Lincoln Hill provided, boasting a colorful farm-to-table harvest buffet. The event also offered the return of a Member Raffle, Silent Auction, and live music. Entertainment was provided by regional musician, Brent Bond, along with his band “Probable Cause.” Brand new this year was the addition of a seasonal, family-friendly activity- the inclusion of Lincoln Hill’s Halloween Walk. Part of the popular, ongoing “Halloweenfest” that takes place on weekends in October, the property opened their festive, outdoor walking trail, which featured various illuminated displays, characters, and pumpkin exhibits with photo opps for attendees to enjoy.
“This has grown to be a favorite event for our folks,” stated Miranda Odell, the Chamber’s President. Our Membership Harvest Celebration is meant to be a comfortable, laid-back, and seasonal event which offers our customers and their guests an opportunity to enjoy great food and drink with their friends or family in some really beautiful, and not to mention fun locations here in our region. Lincoln Hill Farms provided the perfect backdrop for this year’s event!” she added.

In previous years the event has been held at other member businesses, including Three Brothers Wineries and Estates, Bottomless Brewing, and Ravines Wine Cellars. The Membership Harvest Celebration is one of two primary fundraisers that the Chamber hosts annually, and it provides proceeds to sustain and build upon the programs and services offered to member businesses.

This year’s event was made possible by the generosity of various sponsoring businesses that the Chamber would like to acknowledge. Community Sponsors included Casella Waste, Cornell Agritech, Four Winds Chimney, Seneca Lake Resorts and Wegmans of Geneva.

Tasting Station Sponsors consisted of the Chamber’s 2022 Annual Partners – Canandaigua National Bank, Community Broadband Networks, The Eye Care Center, Finger Lakes Federal Credit Union, Finger Lakes Partners Insurance, Generations Bank, Lyons National Bank, Pedulla’s Wine & Liquor, and Spectrum Reach. Additional Tasting Station Sponsors included Five Star Bank, Geneva Club Beverage, Kowalski Legal, Lakeview Geneva LLC, Littlejohn & Barbi Orthodontics, and Upstate Fiber Networks.
The Chamber would also like to extend a special thanks to this year's team of ambassadors that saw the event through from start to finish: Tamara Carter, Fairfield by Marriott; Polly Clark, Canandaigua National Bank; Megan Finnerty, Finger Lakes Federal Credit Union/Pedulla’s Wine & Liquor; Kelsey Journell, Lyons National Bank; Jill Kemp, The Eye Care Center; Susan Schermerhorn, Ashton Place Senior Living; Linda Sutherland, Wildflower Inn Bed and Breakfast; Tammy Weatherstone, Newark Walmart. Additional thanks to Sinicropi Florist & Gifts in Seneca Falls for donating this year's custom centerpieces.

“Our deepest gratitude goes out to everyone that made this year’s event possible. From the event team volunteers to the dozens of businesses and individuals that sponsored the event or donated goods and services to our fundraising efforts, we truly appreciate their generosity and support,” Odell added.
The next event for the Chamber will be the November Business After Hours Networking Mixer, which will be held at the Gould Hotel in Seneca Falls on Wednesday, November 9 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. Attendees need to RSVP by November 7. To make a reservation please email [email protected]
