Speakers announced for Friday's Community Forecast Breakfast
While Punxsutawney Phil and Buckeye Chuck will wait a few days to tell us whether we can plan on six more weeks of winter (have we even had six weeks of winter to date?), Chillicothe Chuck will be up and at 'em at Friday's Community Forecast Breakfast - 7:30 a.m. at the Chillicothe Country Club.
We may be a little ahead of the game when it comes to seeing a shadow, but the information we're going to share about the community is much more valuable than a groundhog's prognostication. The breakfast will feature four speakers who not only can speak from expertise on what to expect in 2020, but they are actively engaged in the effort to make those things happen.

DEADLINE APPROACHING: HGTV Hometown Takeover submissions due 2/7
|
|
While you're finishing up those HGTV nominations we asked for last week, we'd like a favor.
If you send in a nomination, can you drop us a line and let us know what you've submitted?
No need to get super-specific about it, but a quick note that has your name, which building or buildings you've nominated and some contact info, that would be best. We're just tracking how many submissions from Chillicothe are sent out.
In case you hadn't heard, HGTV is accepting nominations for Home Town Takeover, a limited series that will star Erin and Ben Napier, and document their efforts to renovate an entire town, from single-family homes to public parks and everywhere in between.
We are looking for anyone and everyone to submit their favorite projects with the hopes that the more submissions the producers see, the more they know the commitment and drive to make Chillicothe a better place.
Leaders are asking the public to submit their favorite project at
HGTVHomeTownTakeover.com
before Friday, Feb. 7, which is the deadline for submissions.
Videos of the project chosen are strongly encouraged, and photos help your story as well.
