In 2018, the Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce continued to lead the efforts to make Macon the best place for business in the state of Georgia.
The Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce has created positive impact on Macon-Bibb and the southeast region for 158 years. The Chamber now represents more than 1,000 businesses and 70,000 employees in both Macon-Bibb County and Middle Georgia as a region.
The Chamber has effectively worked to improve and grow economic development through the years. In our community, the Chamber makes an impact by advocating at the local, state and national level on issues and legislation that affect the overall growth of Macon-Bibb county. The chamber also impacts our members' businesses success by initiating and supporting regional collaboration and partnerships.
2018 was a year of change for the Chamber. We welcomed new President/CEO, Yvonne Williams, began the process of relocating the office of the Chamber to a new location in downtown Macon's business district and focused on improving Chamber membership, leadership, programs, events and services.
On behalf of the Chamber's Board of Directors, thank you for your support as we enter a new era for Macon-Bibb County in 2019. I appreciate the opportunity to have served as your Chairman.
