2019 is off to a busy start! The Chamber has many events coming up that we would love for you to be a part of.
This year's Leadership Macon Class will be presented at the February Business After Hours event on February 12 at Navicent Health's Luce Heart Institute. Don't miss a fun evening to network and meet our future leaders!
Also, please mark your calendars to attend the upcoming State of the Community luncheon on Thursday, February 14. This is an annual presentation by Mayor Robert Reichert of Macon-Bibb bringing residents, business and civic leaders together to reflect on Macon-Bibb's accomplishments from the past year and to review plans for the future.
Members, we are preparing for our upcoming TRC campaign kickoff and are seeking volunteers to help with this year's campaign. If interested in volunteering, please call Laura McMaster at 478-621-2029. Thank you chamber members for your continuous support that is beneficial to our community and our area!
In closing, I would like to recognize Jennifer Baggarly and her advancement from the role of Manager of Young Professionals Network and the Young Entrepreneur Academy to the Director of Talent/Workforce Engagement for the Macon Economic Development Commission. In this role, she will align and mobilize resources among educational institutions, employers and workforce partners to close the skills gap in an effort to meet the industry needs. In addition, she will help create an extern program to enable teachers and counselors to spend time with local employers to assist them in having a better understanding of workforce needs and the workplace environment.
