This year’s Leadership Cherokee Leading by Feeding campaign generated 10,455 donated items ranging from fruits and vegetables to diapers and paper products. This was a 24.5 percent increase in collections over the 2019 collections. The local Chamber member food pantries supported through the Leading by Feeding initiative included: Encompass Ministries - Papa’s Pantry, MUST Cherokee, and Never Alone. Once again this year the Leadership Cherokee Class of 2019 collected the most items totaling 4,188. The class received the ‘Golden Can Award’ signifying their commitment to the community and volunteerism.
Lori Flink (l), owner of Allegro Business Products and graduate of the Leadership Cherokee Class of 2017 who was a key coordinator of the Leading by Feeding Campaign, joined Chamber Chairman David Simmons, VP of Facilities-Chattahoochee Technical College, in presenting the Golden Can Award for the most donations collected to Jason Blakey (r), Credit Union of Georgia, a member of the Leadership Cherokee Class of 2019.

Webinar
Five Methods to Conflict Resolution
PRESENTED BY:
Daniel McCoy,
KSU Small Business Development Center
Conflict occurs in our workplace almost daily with clients, coworkers and other stakeholders. Often it is a simple answer to resolve the issue, but there are times when conflict can cause productivity to suffer, cause emotional stress, employees to leave or possibly worse. Conflict resolution is a way for two or more parties to find a peaceful solution to a disagreement among them. When a dispute arises, often the best course of action is negotiation to resolve the disagreement.
This webinar examines the tools you can use to understand conflict and improve as a Conflict Resolution Negotiator. Discussion includes five methods of dealing with conflict and the six steps to take in the conflict resolution process.
Cost: $10
Payment Policy: Payment must be made prior to the event date in order to hold your seat. Refunds are not offered. If you cancel 48 hours in advance, a credit for a future workshop will be issued.
