The Cherokee County Educational Foundation (CCEF) is dedicated to supporting the students and staff of the Cherokee County School District by promoting teaching, learning, and celebrating achievements.  They seek funding through corporate sponsorships, grants, and several fundraisers including their annual gala that was held March 7th.  Their annual t-shirt campaign takes place in the fall each year, and shirts are sold throughout the county.  Proceeds from the sales go directly back to the schools that sell the shirts, and teachers get to wear the shirts on casual dress down days with blue jeans.  In the summer months CCEF holds their "On the Road With CCEF" contest, and encourage folks to take their shirts on their travels and submit photos in their t-shirts as they visit places all over the world.  Gift cards are awarded to the travelers that go the greatest distance from our community and submit a photo.  In the past, the shirts have been seen in Australia, Thailand, Africa, and - of course - all over America!
If you would like to promote your business through a sponsor logo on the well-traveled and frequently worn t-shirts, contact Lisa-Marie Haygood, CCEF Executive Director!

In order to stay abreast of the situation and maintain a healthy community and membership, the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce will continue to monitor COVID-19 through updates provided by the Cherokee Emergency Management Agency and Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH).  Per a DPH news release, 'should it become necessary, DPH may recommend appropriate community mitigation measures for affected communities, such as temporary closure of child care facilities and schools/colleges and universities, school and workplace social distancing measures, and postponement or cancellation of mass gatherings'.  You are encouraged to monitor closures and updates within the local and larger community. The DPH encourages you to obtain your information from reliable and accurate sources such as: and   You will also find updates and informative links at
