MUST Ministries is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2021 and this Thanksgiving they are also celebrating the return of their in-person, annual tradition - the Gobble Jog! If you can’t attend this year’s event, consider supporting the Gobble Jog as a virtual or phantom runner (financial supporter) to benefit MUST’s mission of providing assistance for those in need through housing, food, healthcare, workforce development, clothing and other programs in Cherokee and seven other metro Atlanta counties. Timed 10K and 5K runs, as well as an untimed 5K, 1K and Tot Trot, are all available at the race planned for Thanksgiving Day morning on the Marietta Square. All who register for the 19th Annual Gobble Jog – whether as in-person, virtual or phantom runners - will receive a special commemorative t-shirt. Visit GobbleJog.org for individual and team registration details!

Cherokee County Comprehensive Transportation Plan

|
Cherokee County is one of the fastest growing counties in the metro Atlanta area, with a population that has virtually doubled over the past 20 years. This rapid growth is placing demands on both the current and future transportation networks. The CTP update –Cherokee Moves – will provide information to help make decisions on funding, prioritizing and programming transportation projects.
The CTP will be updated by:
- Identifying Cherokee County’s transportation vision and local transportation needs and priorities
- Coordinating local transportation expectations with regional expectations
- Developing a short-range action plan and long-range aspirations – projects, policies and programs
Share your thoughts by taking Cherokee County CTP survey:

Webinar:
Business Ethics
Why & How
PRESENTED BY:
Dawn Stastny,
Stellaris Group
In today's competitive world, ethical behavior may at times seem secondary to more pressing business and personal goals. However, the impact of your employees' ethical choices can be just as significant as the impact of your business decisions. Just one poor choice could land your organization in a reputation-damaging scandal, expose valuable intellectual property to hackers or cause you to incur significant personal and organizational fines, or worse. In this session, attendees will learn to recognize common business ethics issues and the associated best practices to avoid personal and organizational harm.
Ethics concern an individual's moral judgments about right and wrong. Decisions within an organization may be made by individuals or groups, but whoever makes them will be influenced by the culture of the company. The decision to behave ethically is a moral one; employees must decide what they think is the right course of action. This may involve rejecting the route that would lead to the biggest short-term profit.
Ethical behavior and corporate social responsibility can bring significant benefits to a business. For example, they may:
- Attract customers to the firm's products, which means boosting sales and profits
- Make employees want to stay with the business, reduce turnover and therefore increase productivity
- Attract more employees wanting to work for the business, reduce recruitment costs and enable the company to get the most talented employees
Cost: $10
