CHANDELIER

AUGUST 2017
Hello goodbye
EMILY MCFARLAND NAMED ALUMNI & COMMUNITY RELATIONS COORDINATOR
Alumni & Friends,

I want to thank our community for the opportunity to serve as your Marketing Director and subsequently, the Alumni Director in recent months in anticipation of my departure for graduate school in Boston. It has been my great joy to be a part of the operational side of Willingway in these capacities.

It's now my pleasure to formally introduce everyone to Emily McFarland, who many of you already know from her various roles at Willingway over the last four years. She has served as the Lee Street/By-the-Grace House Manager, Unit I Ward Secretary, Medical/Med Records Administrative Assistant, and most recently, Marketing Assistant. She even spent time providing backup staffing to the Admissions Department! Emily's deep organizational knowledge, proven record of workplace excellence, and highly active involvement with the recovery community made her the obvious choice in Willingway's search for someone to step into our newly created Alumni & Community Relations Coordinator position. Please join me in congratulating Emily. I'm excited to see how she will grow the Alumni program and have every confidence in her ability to do so!

Warmly,
Sarah Dasher

Raymond Scott is on the move

Please join us in wishing Inpatient Program Manager Raymond Scott every happiness and rich blessings as he departs Willingway at the end of August for new professional horizons in Savannah.

Raymond has worked with us since 1993, when he began his career as a substance abuse counselor intern. Since then, he become a certified clinical supervisor, and a certified addiction counselor II (CAC II) and has been responsible for coordinating and advising the Inpatient counseling staff in his longtime role as program manager.

Raymond also serves the greater Statesboro community by coordinating alcohol and drug education programs for companies and their employees, families, and churches. He is also a member of the Bulloch Alcohol and Drug Council.

Raymond is a two-time recipient of the Employee of the Year award, first winning in 1998 and again in 2016. To know Raymond is to love Raymond and to say that he will be deeply missed by our patients, staff, and alumni is truly an understatement. Willingway is hosting a farewell party for Raymond before his departure and we will be sure to share the photos with you next month.
