After receiving such an overwhelmingly positive response regarding our new location for 2018,
The Belle House
, we have decided to utilize this space for 2019. Nestled on five acres of beautiful land surrounded by serene pine and oak trees, The Belle House is only minutes from downtown Statesboro.
Discounted room rates are still available through SpringHill Suites
and if you are in need of transportation from the hotel to The Belle House, please contact Emily McFarland prior to Thursday, May 2, at
emcfarland@willingway.com
or (912) 536-2769 and she will gladly arrange accommodations for you.

Marc Fomby, CPS Visits Willingway
"THE MESSAGE IN THE MUSIC" WAS PRESENTED TO CLINICIANS AT A WW WORKSHOP AND TO TEENS AT LOCAL SCHOOLS
|
|
Willingway was very excited to have
Marc Fomby, CPS
and his son, De'Marco Fomby, join us all the way from Mississippi to present "The Message in the Music", a continuing education workshop that explores the importance of media literacy and provides tools to critically analyze various genres of music to detect influences and suggestions that glorify and promote reckless, negative lifestyles, choices and decisions among today’s youth. Anyone who has ever attended one of Marc’s fun and interactive courses will tell you that his energy is contagious and this was no exception. Thanks to Marc for presenting at both Willingway and for teens at two of our local schools!

Project Recovery and
Because You Asked
We know that our alumni will be very excited to learn that Willingway has partnered with
The Averitt Center for the Arts to create an immersive week of theater, dialogue, and education called "
Project Recovery" The goal of this project is to destigmatize the views of addiction and people in recovery, while spotlighting the community services available to persons involved in the recovery process. At the heart of Project Recovery is
Because You Asked, a dramatic adaptation of true-life stories of addiction and recovery. The production will inform audiences of the risks and effects of substance abuse, as well as provide insight into this human tragedy.
Because You Asked will premiere in Statesboro, Georgia,
September 16-22, 2019
