Get ready! Chanukah is just six weeks away, and that time will fly. We're thrilled to invite you to our new celebration of Jewish creativity and community: The RTFH Chanukah Shuk!
On Sunday, November 9, from 2:00-5:00 PM, join us at the Temple to explore an amazing marketplace featuring over 30 vendors, including artists, crafters, authors, and more. Come for the Israeli snacks, fun raffle prizes, and a welcoming atmosphere that truly captures the spirit of the Festival of Lights.
The Shuk is open to all! Bring your neighbors and friends for a special time of connection and celebration as we prepare for Chanukah together.

Eli's Mitzvah Project
For my mitzvah project I volunteered with a special needs baseball league called The Challenger Program. This program helped special needs kids play sports and made activities accessible that were not accessible to them before. The reason that I did this was so I could share my love of baseball and help kids have a positive experience. This meant a lot to me because of the smiles on their faces when they saw me. It also meant a lot to me that they felt comfortable expressing themselves to me and being honest about what they wanted. This experience was so enjoyable and fun.

Responding to Need: A Call for Action and Available Food Resources
With the government shutdown, many people have lost essential SNAP benefits to put food on the table every day.
If you are in need of food, there are food banks and pantries in the area, including Masbia, Commonpoint Queens, Kehilat Pantry, and Queens Community House. You are always welcome to take any food on the donations table at Temple. Don't hesitate to get in touch with Rabbi Kaiserman privately if we can provide additional help.
If you can help others, please bring non-perishable food and supplies to Temple or a local food pantry.
