American Dancer Magazine
Our on-line magazine is focusing our next issue (August/September) on the social activities of member chapters. In an effort to improve this coverage, American Dancer is asking USA Dance Chapters and any USA Dance member to submit any human interest article you feel would inspire our national audience. These articles should include one or more photographs to fit with the style of our magazine publication. There are some special rules about publishing photographs (especially those of minors). If we choose your article, we will let you know about these requirements. We look forward to hearing from you and sharing your stories. Send your articles to: americandancer@usadance.org. We reserve the right to edit submitted articles.

American Dancer is currently holding a photo contest for the cover of this coming social dance issue. We are looking for that great "couple shot" that tells it all. Submissions are due July 31. Send your photos to: americandancer@usadance.org

Membership Auto-Renewal
A number of members have expressed frustration at needing to remember to renew each year. Thus, we are excited to announce that auto-renewal is now available for all social membership categories! If you would like to set up your membership for auto-renewal, please email talley@usadance.org with your full name as it appears on your USA Dance card and your membership number. If you have any questions about this, please feel free to email our Membership Director, Margot Garnick at membership-dir@usadance.org.
YouTube Channel
USA Dance Marketing and Communications Committee is proud to announce the relaunch of USA Dance YouTube Channel. This is a great resource where you will be able to find not only instructional videos provided by the Dancing Universities Classes, but much more content like Video Highlights of our USA Dance Chapter Dances, various interviews with our members, First 100 days reports by various committees VP’s, Directors, Chairs and more. As we are getting back to dancing we are planning to bring you more interactive, entertaining and fantastic video content. Please subscribe to our channel by hitting a Subscribe button on the bottom right corner.

Annual General Meeting
The USA Dance Board of Directors has announced that the annual general meeting for 2021 will take place electronically via zoom. Please hold the date for Saturday, August 28, 2021 from 2 to 4pm (eastern time). More details, including the link, will be released as we get closer to the meeting date.

National Calendar for Upcoming Events
Calendar
Keep up the good work promoting your dances! As people begin traveling and want to social dance they have a single place to look as well as to inspire other chapters to begin holding events as public health restrictions allow it. The calendar is available on our website.

To ensure your event is listed you can either:
 
  1. Post it to your chapter website within the SocialLink system and alert the National Officers by filling out the simple form and they will post it to the National calendar OR
  2. Email the relevant info (date, time, chapter, theme or event name, contact info, flyer) to chapter-announcements@usadance.org and the Marketing & Communications Committee will add it for you.

Dancing kicks off at 7pm. One floor dedicated to ballroom dances (waltz, foxtrot, quickstep, tango, etc.) and the other will be for Latin, swing, and club dances (cha cha, rumba, salsa, East and West Coast Swing, etc.)

We are announcing that SATURDAY, JULY 10TH, 2021, will be our FIRST live dance since February 2020!!! It will be at the Ballroom V venue (formerly Ballantyne Ballroom).
 
USA Dance - Quad Cities, IL; Chapter # 2047
Please join us for our USA Dance Saturday July 10th, 2021. Bring your independent spirit, as we’re the best place in town to express your dancing freedom in 12 different styles: Bachata, Bolero, Cha Cha, Country Two-Step, East Coast Swing, Foxtrot, Hustle, Nightclub, Rumba, Tango, West Coast and Waltz.
 
Salsa Lesson taught by Scott Rasso starting promptly at 7:00 p.m, doors open at 6:30.

If you become a new member with National USA Dance, your entrance fee will be waived for the night. We will have membership forms available at the waiver sign-in table. Write us a check for $35.00 and you’ll get in free. Current members whose membership is about to expire get the same deal if they renew at the dance. Members pay $7.00 at the door, and non-members pay $10.00.
