Tuesday is Christmas Spirit Day!

Students are invited to wear their Christmas attire on the first day back from Christmas Break! This includes Christmas sweaters and fun socks. Students are reminded to follow the Spirit of the Dress Code: be neat, be clean, and be modest.

Please continue to monitor your e-mail and ACA's social media for any updates or announcements.
Due to the early Christmas Break, the following events have been rescheduled:

  • Holiday Quiz Bowl will take place during House time when students return from Christmas Break on Tues., Jan. 5.
  • The Initiation Ceremony for Junior Classical League will be held Friday, Jan. 8 during club time (1:15-3:15 p.m.) Please RSVP to Mrs. Woods.
  • Alumni Day: Given the current health concerns in the Tulsa area, we have determined that we need to postpone the annual Alumni Day that was scheduled for Friday, Jan. 8th.
As noted in ACA's COVID-19 policies, students who are ill or suspect they may be ill should remain at home. Augustine Christian Academy will work with parents during periods of student absences when families are working to support their child’s health and the health of others. ACA will not penalize students for absences during the 2020-21 School Year.

Beginning January 5, 2021, the following will be required of all students:

  • The parent or student must call the front office by Noon on the day the student is absent to report if the student is ill, quarantined due to contact with someone with COVID-19, or absent for another reason (appointment, vacation, family emergency, etc.).
  • When an absence occurs, it is the student’s responsibility to inquire about, complete, and return assignments.
  • If the student is ill: the student will be given full credit for work done that satisfies the conditions of each teacher’s policy for make-up work.
  • If the student is quarantined and not ill: the student will be responsible for keeping up with all regular class due dates, and no exceptions will be made for not being physically present in the classroom. It will be at each teacher’s discretion to determine if a student’s work will be accepted. As such, teachers are not required, but may make provision for students to access regular classroom time via Facetime, Zoom, or Google Meets.
  • If a student reports an absence for another reason: the student will be responsible for keeping up with all regular class due dates. It will be at each teacher’s discretion to determine if a student’s work will be accepted for full credit.
  • If the parent or student does not contact the office by Noon on the day the student is absent, the teacher(s) will assume the student is absent and work will be marked as late.
  • If a pattern of absences appears on days when larger assignments are due or when assessments are given, the student may be subject to administrative action.

If you have any questions regarding this policy update, please e-mail Mr. Fitzgerald.

Wishing Tree continues...
Due to the early Christmas Break, the Wishing Tree will remain in the lobby through Friday, Jan. 8. If you would like to grant a wish, or two, simply pick one from the branches of the Wishing Tree, and return the gift, and its tag, to the ACA Wishing Tree by Friday, Jan. 8.
