  • Cranberry Sauce
  • Canned Veggies (green beans, corn, peas)

Our neighbors, Vision Family Ministries, will once again be hosting a Thanksgiving meal for the homeless. This year they will be taking food trucks around the city in hopes of reaching even more people in need of a warm meal and a blessing. ACA is honored to assist this Christian mission as Vision Family Ministries relies on our annual Food Drive for most of their supplies.

Please consider donating the needed items from the list provided. The Houses will be competing for the most collected items, and Grammar classes will be partnered with a House as follows:

Pegasus & Pre-K/Kindergarten

Dragon & 1st grade

Falcon & 2nd/3rd grade

Griffin & 4th/5th grade

If you would like to assist, please bring, or have your student bring, traditional Thanksgiving related canned or dry goods and look for your House banner.

Cash is also welcome to assist with the purchase of the turkey and ham. You can also donate online here . Under "notes" please list "Thanksgiving Meal."

We thank you in advance for your service to the ministry of our neighbors, Vision Family Ministries .
Important Christmas Announcement
In an abundance of caution, the ACA Administration has made the difficult decision to cancel the All-School Christmas Program scheduled for Friday, December 4th. We are very grateful that our covid-19 numbers have remained low, but in order to ensure they remain low, we felt that an all-school gathering would be unwise at this time.

It is at this concert that we take up an offering for the annual Staff and Teacher Christmas Bonus. Since we will not be gathering together, we wanted to provide you with a few giving options as you decide how best to show your gratitude to our staff and teachers for their dedication to serving our ACA families. We are asking that you prayerfully consider how you can be a blessing to our amazing staff and teachers this year.

To donate online, please visit our website at Under the Support ACA heading, please click on the Donate button and follow the instructions. You may use a credit or debit card or your Paypal account to give. In the memo section, please list Christmas Bonus. You may also donate at the front office using cash, check or credit card. Your contribution to this year's Christmas Bonus is greatly appreciated.

Two opportunities for students
to take national exams
The National Latin Exam (NLE) is a test given annually to Latin students across the United States and around the world. The NLE is not meant to be a competition but rather an opportunity for students to receive reinforcement and recognition for their accomplishments in the classroom. Depending upon their score, students may earn certificates, medals, and may even qualify for scholarships. Mrs. Woods is recommending this exam for grades 6 and up at ACA.
The National Mythology Exams consist of the Pegasus Mythology Exam, which is intended for students in grades 3-8, and the Medusa Mythology Exam, which is intended for students in grades 9-12. The National Mythology Exams are given annually to over 9,000 students in approximately 400 schools nationally and internationally. The National Mythology Exams welcome all students of classical mythology. The 2021 theme is “Transformations”. The test will take place the first week of March.
If your student is interested, please contact Mrs. Woods or see the sign-up sheet outside the Library.
Please help us ensure that all students are prepared for cooler temperatures by sending your child to school with appropriate outerwear. Also, please remember to put your child's name or initials on all outerwear.
TreeRing, ACA's yearbook provided, has extended the 5% early purchase discount until Wed, November 18th.

IMPORTANT: ages 10 and over should wear a mask to school!
All students ages 10 and over, in accordance with the city of Tulsa mask ordinance, must wear a face mask, unless there is an exemption form on file at the Front Office.

Due to this new ordinance, we have reconsidered the part of the current policy requesting that the masks be in school colors. We are expanding your students' mask options to include more unique styles and colors. As long as the mask is in the spirit of the dress code (not extreme or in questionable taste), it will be allowed.

Thank you for helping us remain in compliance with the City of Tulsa mandate. Please feel free to reach out to Mr. Ahrens at any time with any questions you may have.

Please submit your completed December lunch order by Friday, Nov. 20 to the Front Office. Students may still order on a daily basis first thing in the morning, in their classroom or at the office window. This monthly order form is for your convenience.
