On Mon., Nov. 30, when school resumes after Thanksgiving Break, students in grades 6-12 will have Salt & Light Chapel. Salt & Light Chapel is a speaking series where we invite a member of the Christian community who will challenge our students to live in a Christ-honoring way. All students in grades 6-12 must be in High Convocation. Please see the Dress Code in the Parent & Student Handbook for more information about High Convocation. Students are encouraged to talk to their House Sergeant with any questions regarding High Convocation requirements.

  • Canned Veggies (green beans, corn, peas)

We are still collecting donations for the annual Thanksgiving Food Drive. The deadline for donations is noon on Friday.

The Houses are competing for the most collected items, and Grammar classes will be partnered with a House as follows:

Falcon & 2nd/3rd grade

Griffin & 4th/5th grade

Deadline this week to sign-up for Latin, Mythology exams
National Latin Exam
We are accepting enrollment this week for the Spring National Exams through this week. Due to the crazy spring we had last year, if you were in Latin and were not offered the opportunity to take the National Latin Exam, you may take it this year. Likewise, if you are a transfer student and would like to take the National Latin Exam in March 2021 (this spring), please sign up in the office for Level I or Level II, and let Mrs. Woods know. She has the syllabus and can direct you to study material.

Love Mythology? Take the test, join the club!
We are also offering the  Pegasus Mythology Exam for grades 3-8 and Medusa Mythology Exam, grades 9-12. The test will be the first week of March 2021.

Sign up in the office. Mrs. Woods can direct you to study/review materials and a possible Mythology Club may be established for this purpose. It would be the 1st and 3rd week during Friday Club time. The club is open to all ACA students regardless of current classical language enrollment. Mrs. Woods needs to know this week if students are interested.

Help bless our teachers this Christmas
In an abundance of caution, the ACA Administration made the difficult decision to cancel the All-School Christmas Program scheduled for Friday, December 4th.

It is at this concert that we take up an offering for the annual Staff and Teacher Christmas Bonus. Since we will not be gathering together, we wanted to provide you with a few giving options as you decide how best to show your gratitude to our staff and teachers for their dedication to serving our ACA families. We are asking that you prayerfully consider how you can be a blessing to our amazing staff and teachers this year.

Performing Arts goes digital
Order your copy of Frozen, Jr.
This year, ACA is making a transition to the digital world regarding their show distribution. The filmed ACA production of Frozen, Jr. will be distributed digitally via USB Flash Drive in order to provide an efficient and easy means of sharing among family and friends as well as a safe and flexible way to store the production for future viewing. 

Each USB drive will be $20.00 and available for family of cast members. Payment and order form  is due to the office on or before Friday, December 18th, 2020. After that date no orders will be accepted. Copies will be available for pick up when we return from Christmas Break in January.

Please submit your completed December lunch order by Friday, Nov. 20 to the Front Office. Students may still order on a daily basis first thing in the morning, in their classroom or at the office window. This monthly order form is for your convenience.
Coming in January: Usborne Book Fair!
We are very excited that we will be having an Usborne Books & More book fair in January.

We hope to have a successful event and get lots of free books for our classrooms. Parents can purchase a book for their child's class and for their own children.

Board of Governors welcomes new chairmain
The ACA Board of Governors continues to work diligently on the school's long-term financial goals. At Monday's regular meeting, board elections were held and the new officers are:

Chris Autrey, Secretary

Retiring from the board and two decades of service (as both a teacher and board member) is Sandra Massey. Thank you, Sandra! Your service is greatly appreciated and you will be missed! Remaining on the board but rotating out of their roles as Co-Chairmen are Aaron Payne (Alumni 2001) and Travis Winsby

Join Hen House on Tuesday mornings
All parents are invited to join Hen House at its weekly Prayer Meeting in Room 205A on Tuesdays around 8/8:15 a.m. If the weather is nice, we will meet at the Charger Field pavilion.

IMPORTANT: ages 10 and over should wear a mask to school!
All students ages 10 and over, in accordance with the city of Tulsa mask ordinance, must wear a face mask, unless there is an exemption form on file at the Front Office.

Due to this new ordinance, we have reconsidered the part of the current policy requesting that the masks be in school colors. We are expanding your students' mask options to include more unique styles and colors. As long as the mask is in the spirit of the dress code (not extreme or in questionable taste), it will be allowed.
