I recently realized it has been just over six months since my final transition to Executive Director took place. The time has flown by in a flurry of activity, and while my mind is still full of future ideas and possibilities, I had to reflect that six months is but the blink of an eye in our Society history.....so let's turn back the clock...

It's true! The offices of The Pyramid Society are now virtual, but each of our own offices are very real indeed - and all have a distinct Pyramid Society flavor! We see each other regularly via video conferencing with the added bonus of occasionally being joined by a helpful cat or dog. Life Member, Michelle Laucke, has published her first Arabian Horse Children's book entitled, Arabian Horses at Play, I Could Watch Them Every Day. Michelle hopes this enchanting book featuring many Straight Egyptian Arabians will charm new readers with the history and magic of the Arabian Horse, bringing new interest to our breed.

In late March, Arabians At Egg & I welcomed a beautiful colt, out of the mare Sim Sim Dahmee (KA Damascus x Simeon Shearith). Dan & Louise DeRusseau of LD Arabians are pleased to announce the sale of two wonderful Straight Egyptian mares. Aneesah LDA (Mishaal HP x Minstris Petunia LDA by The Minstril), has been purchased by Colin and Denise Gillis of KeyStone Arabians in Virginia and Nagham Magidaa LDA (Bellagio RCA x Il Bint Magidaa) is now owned jointly by Denise Gillis of KeyStone Arabians and Gwendolyn Soong of Caledonian Arabians. Both mares will soon be started under saddle by Andres Castano and will be bred this spring.

STRAIGHT EGYPTIAN SHALOM SHEHAAB HAS NEW HOME IN KENTUCKY

Julie Teutsch of Golden Cross Arabians and The Imperial Shehaab Heritage Partners would like to congratulate Amy Green of Kentucky, on her recent acquisition of Shalom Shehaab. He is sired by Imperial Shehaab and out of the Ansata pedigreed mare WH Savannah. Shalom is a half-brother to the 2018 yearling futurity winning filly Barmyre Safina, herself, one of several full siblings sired by Imperial Shehaab who have each won their futurity. We hope to see Amy and Shalom at the Egyptian Event!

Duane & Diana Cantey of Zajaddi Egyptian Arabians are proud to be celebrating 20 years of breeding Straight Egyptian Arabian horses. As part of their dedication to the breed, they are pleased to be hosting an equine photography workshop at their farm on June 29th in Mount Vernon, Arkansas. Kim Boyd Vickery will lead the workshop on how to photograph beautiful Arabian horses and models in natural light to produce fine art images!
