It's December - the semester's winding down and finals are looming. Here's a little laugh to give your brain a break:

Where do snowmen go in a medical emergency?

The ICY-U!

You've Made it to the End of the Year!

As the semester winds down, December offers a moment to pause and recharge. Between finals, holiday plans, and the winter chill, it's easy to get swept up -- but your well-being matters.

Notice the small moments: a warm cup of tea, a walk around campus, a laugh with a friend, or a few mindful breaths. These simple acts of care support your mind, body, and community.

Take this time to reflect on what you've accomplished, connect with the people who matter, and give yourself permission to rest. Every small act counts - and this season, giving yourself space to pause is one of the best gifts you can offer.

A Look Back at November

Kindness Rocks

Our community came together on November 13 for World Kindness Day, taking a mindful moment to paint messages of hope, compassion, and encouragement on blank rocks. These small acts of creativity and care rippled across campus - brightened days, strengthened connections, and reminded us that kindness truly matters.

Beaconsgiving

On Tuesday, 11/25, we joined SAEC, the Writing Center, and Ombuds Services for a cozy afternoon of gratitude-themed activities -- bouquet-making, DIY gratitude journals, an Appreciation Station, a gratitude photo booth, and even a reflective Wind Phone. We also shared wellness resources, treats, and warm drinks… plus a visit from J, one of the beloved therapy dogs!

Food Drive for U-Access

Beginning in November, we supported the BFSA’s campus-wide effort to collect nonperishable foods for U-ACCESS. Donation bins across campus -- including our blue wellness cart outside the UHS Lobby -- will continue to make it easy for folks to leave what they can and take what they need. Thank you to everyone who has contributed so far! If you’re in need, U-ACCESS is here to help with confidential support and resources. See here for more information.
