Celebrating 15 Years of Community
Dear Friends,
The Chicago Mosaic School (CMS) is facing extraordinary circumstances as we celebrate our 15th Anniversary of advancing the fine art of mosaics.
For all of us around the world, the COVID-19 virus has severely impacted daily operations.
Because of the government-mandated Shelter in Place order, and concerns for the health of our shared community, we have made the extremely difficult decision to close our doors until our public health crisis is resolved.
While we continue to explore alternative sources of revenue, we still face an unprecedented financial loss.
As a small and unique nonprofit organization, we have built our legacy with you: our loyal community of students, neighbors, and supporters.
A mosaic, in itself, is
proof that you can take different parts of greater pieces or experiences, sometimes broken, and create something new and beautifu
l
. We will get through this together.
We are immensely proud of our programming to date, and we continue to work behind the scenes on our future plans for providing a community art space, unparalleled offerings of classes, workshops, visiting artist seminars as well as groundbreaking art exhibitions at our Gallery of Contemporary Mosaics.
Although we have many exciting plans for the future,
we can’t weather this storm without your help.
We are looking to raise at least $15,000 by May 15th so that we can resume our goals for community projects, gallery events and outreach, and continue to teach our world-class workshops.
