Although Spring is off to a cold start as we welcome the month of April, I am looking forward to longer and warmer days here in our beautiful state.
April is an exciting month filled with many significant national awareness designations, all providing opportunities to get involved, support, and learn about a variety of issues.
At The Children's Cabinet, and throughout the state, we are planting pinwheels to raise awareness of National Child Abuse Prevention Month. The pinwheel, a cherished symbol of childhood innocence and hope, serves as a reminder of the bright futures every child deserves. Additionally, April 5th marks #GoBlue Day. Our team will be wearing blue to support Child Abuse Prevention and we encourage you to join us!
Other important designations in April include Stress Awareness Month, Autism Acceptance Month, Sexual Assault Awareness Month, Nevada Food Waste Awareness Month, Alcohol Awareness Month, and many more. Whatever cause speaks to you, we encourage you to see how you can get involved, attend events, and increase awareness. We all have the power to make a difference!
With warm regards,
