The Children’s Center Utah Connection

April 2023 | Vol.10

Dear Mary,

As The Children’s Center Utah looks ahead to our vision of providing comprehensive services to children and families throughout Utah, we know we need more people like YOU to help pave the way with our expansion efforts. We deeply appreciate your commitment to our work, and the children and families we serve.

Please help us expand The Children’s Center Utah’s network and consider sharing our mission with your circle. We are building upon an incredible legacy of volunteers, board members, committee members, donors, and our caring and dedicated team as we increase our capacity statewide.

We continue to seek the involvement of compassionate community members who may have an interest in learning about the work of The Children’s Center Utah, or in deepening their connection to our organization with a broadened base of support.

Your commitment helps us harness the power of caring and passion to ensure children and families heal and thrive. We can only do more if we have more support.

On behalf of The Children’s Center Utah, thank you for your generosity and advocacy!

RAISING AWARENESS

2023 Legislative Session

The Children’s Center Utah team was hard at work during this legislative session. In support of our goals for statewide expansion, The Children's Center Utah team members met in person at the Capitol with a number of legislators during the 45-day session, including members of the Social Services Appropriations Subcommittee and Executive Appropriations Committee.

The Children’s Center Utah participated in Utah Nonprofit Association Day on the Hill, we were recognized alongside other nonprofit organizations in the House of Representatives.

Additionally, The Children's Center Utah hosted a Legislative Break in both the House and Senate chambers, where staff and Board members were able to share information on our organization with legislators. We were also pleased to host a number of the legislators’ spouses for a site visit. Members of our Clinical and Development teams presented on our programs and offered a tour to our guests.

We would like to thank our state leaders for their support and recognition of the importance of infant and early childhood mental health and the critical upstream services our team provides, as well as our Public Policy and Advocacy Committee and Board for their support throughout the session. Please watch for more exciting updates on legislative outcomes soon!
