The Children's Trust Fiscal Open Labs - Budgets on August 21 * | The Children's Trust's Fiscal Open Lab on Budgets will be on Wednesday, August 21. This In-person Fiscal Open Lab aims to provide one-on-one support to providers with questions around budgeting. Please note, this is not a training. Providers should come with specific questions as it relates to their budgets. Providers should bring their laptops and all other necessary documentation. Please only have one staff member register (you are welcome to bring additional staff), use this link to register for the session on August 21. Please note before you register, ensure you are logged into Trust Central and that you have been added to our Trust Academy LMS. Advocacy Network on Disabilities' Reading Difficulties & Dyslexia Trainings | New Course! Reading Difficulties and Dyslexia: This interactive course increases after-school providers’ awareness of how reading difficulties and dyslexia may impact students’ academic performance and affect their behavior. By increasing understanding, after-school staff may recognize “this child may not be doing their homework because they have a condition that interferes with their ability to read, rather than having a behavior problem." William T. Grant Foundation Institutional Challenge Grant Applications Open * | |
The purpose of this program is to support university-based research institutes, schools, and centers in building sustained research-practice partnerships with public agencies or nonprofit organizations in order to reduce inequality in youth outcomes. Eligibility is limited to tax-exempt organizations. Eligible organizations include university-based research institutes, schools, or centers. Award Ceiling: $650,000.

The goal of the Maternal Health grant program is to ensure every mother and baby will receive quality care throughout each stage of pregnancy and beyond. Grants to Patriciate in National Stillbirth Study | The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) National Institutes of Health (NIH) The Road to Prevention of Stillbirth Clinical Research Centers is sponsoring a grant to provide support for entities/institutions to participate as a Research Center (RC) in the Stillbirth Research Consortium. It will establish an integrated and collaborative Stillbirth Research Consortium to support cutting-edge basic, translational, clinical and/or data sciences research to generate knowledge for advancement in stillbirth-relevant research across the United States, with a particular emphasis on approaches that utilize an equity lens to identify ways to decrease the incidence of stillbirth in vulnerable populations. Game On-Community Place to Play Initiative Grants are Open | |
Game On-Community Places to Play is an initiative of The DICK’s Sporting Goods Foundation and LISC. The initiative provides funding and technical assistance to community-rooted organizations working to create and renovate multi-use youth sport spaces for youth ages 6-24 years old in under-resourced communities across the country. Special consideration will be given to proposals that demonstrate how their capital projects will support youth development programming.
The goal is to improve the quality, safety and accessibility of local athletic spaces for young people. Grant awards will range from $50,000-$100,000 and will require 1:1 match funding. Funds will be awarded to outdoor and indoor facilities that enable and demonstrate local community access and usage for all organized youth sports, including but not limited to basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, football, tennis, lacrosse and volleyball. Youth development program services should include, but are not limited to, life skills workshops, civic engagement and leadership, workforce development and academic support.
Non-profit community-based organizations leading renovation projects are eligible to apply. This includes schools and local parks and recreation departments that are collaborating with local non-profits. Universities and college campuses are not eligible for this initiative. Interested organizations should carefully review the Request for Proposals (RFP) below, which outlines eligibility and selection criteria. The application deadline is September 5, 2024.

The position manages the full life cycle of assigned funded program(s) and services located throughout Miami-Dade County. This person requires occasional non-traditional work hours (weekends and evenings) and reliable transportation. This professional position will support the Programs Management Team in implementing strategies that foster collaboration among internal and external stakeholders to ensure services are delivered in accordance with The Children’s Trust standards and latest evidence-based practices. Director of High School Programs
Responsible for planning and implementing programming for Breakthrough Miami’s high school students to ensure they are prepared for academic success in high school and successfully transition to college. The Director will work closely with students and families as they navigate the high school years and hold students to high academic and community standards. An ASD oversees campus or site logistics, unpaid student volunteers, and some stipended positions, such as Teaching Fellows. As an ambassador of the program, the ASD builds supportive relationships with students, parents, schools, the community, and other stakeholders to ensure the academic and socio-enrichment success of all Breakthrough Scholars.
