With Love and Compassion for All
We open our hearts in solidarity with the people of Ukraine in this time of great suffering, and to all the people of the earth experiencing the losses and pain of conflict, natural disaster and climate change. May we find wholeness and continued movement toward the realization that all of creation is one.

Service and Community
Visitors come with Gifts to Share
We are excited to welcome Paul (Jake) and Jess Jacob this fall to the Christine Center as live-in volunteers and community members for the months of October and November. Jake and Jess travel North America spending time living, working, and offering programs at retreat centers. Their passion for inner work and service to others is a great gift to people and organizations. Their contribution to and grounding in spiritual deepening aligns with the mission, vision, and values of the Christine Center; we are grateful they have chosen to stay with us for their time in Wisconsin during the autumn season.
Jess works full time as a middle school language teacher and will be helping to fill various roles around the center. Jake has worked as a spiritual formation guide for people experiencing homelessness, youth who are at risk, at senior residences, for groups at monasteries and retreat centers, and with individuals throughout North America. He will also volunteer in various roles around the center as well as offering retreats. Jess and Jake are the co-founders of "Feed The Way," a charitable organization that provides meals, Care Bags, and spiritual nourishment for our homeless brothers and sisters on the streets of urban areas https://www.nomadicdevotion.com/feed-the-way-now.
Throughout their time here, Jake will facilitate several deepening programs which we are excited to include in the offerings at the Christine Center:
| |
*All of the monetary offerings that Jake receives from his Spiritual Formation work go towards attending and accompanying our homeless brothers and sisters through his charitable organization, “Feed The Way.” Participating in sacred work is a gift of The Beloved; thus, he donates any monies that he receives from it. | |
We want our programs to be available to all.
Spiritual deepening is for everyone. If you see a program listing that seems meaningful to you, but financial considerations are an obstacle to your participation, please know that we have scholarship funds set aside and available for this purpose. We want no one to be turned away due to financial restrictions.
