The Christine Center
News and Program Highlights
With Love and Compassion for All
We open our hearts in solidarity with the people of Ukraine in this time of great suffering, and to all the people of the earth experiencing the losses and pain of conflict, natural disaster and climate change. May we find wholeness and continued movement toward the realization that all of creation is one.
Spiritual Friends,
Spiritual Home

Many people experience the Christine Center as their “Spiritual Home”, as a place where they have found something that calls to their heart in a special way, something that is deeply nourishing to each person, in their own unique way. Was it a connection to the wonders of nature and this wooded land? A heartfelt moment of peace in the quiet and stillness of meditation? Maybe an aha moment of something discovered in one of our programs?  For many the presence and acceptance from one of the resident Sisters or other staff is important.  Something is here, something happens for most people who visit the center, by just being in the atmosphere, the field of seeking, with other souls who are also reaching toward a larger vision of being human. There are many paths, with many names but a common experience is the feeling of coming “home”.

A wonderful and meaningful piece of such experiences, an essential contributing factor actually, is being with “spiritual friends”.  Being with others who you know are also seeking, and who are sharing with you their path, their joy and their pain.  Something happens at the dinner table, in the hallway and trail conversations . . .  we have those moments of recognition and connection, of laughter and yes, of love.

Spiritual friends, spiritual community, is a treasure to discover and to enjoy. It’s part of the spiritual process of moving beyond our small selves, to enter the territory where, as it says over the entryway to the Center,  “We are One”.

We welcome you and invite you to come to the Center, one time and many times, in person and on-line. Via words and pictures. Via prayer and presence. The Center is here for you, for your spiritual deepening and for the transformation of the world.

Please check out our latest offerings from the Center, and please notice Doug McGill's offering of a weekly spiritual friends experience every Monday evening.
