Congratulations to Nick, Sinclair, Funmi and Father Martin!
Our team of seminarians at St. Agnes' will receive their degrees from the School of Theology on
Friday, May 11th, 10:00 a.m. at All Saints Chapel.
We are blessed and honored to share in their journey these few years!
May God ever watch over them as they assume a greater role in the ministry of the Holy Gospel!
Congratulations to Pearson Garner!
Our very own Pearson Neal Garner will graduate and receive his high school diploma from Franklin County High School on
Thursday, May 17th!
This is quite a change for us as Pearson has been active in the life of the congregation since he was 4 years old!
May God continually bless him and enrich his life as he moves into college and the next phase of life as a young adult!

Off to Florida for Nick, Jessica, Julia, and Hannah!
In early summer the Caccese's will make their way to Naples, Florida!
After Nick receives his Master of Sacred Theology from Sewanee, he will become the Associate Rector of
Trinity-by-the-Cove Episcopal Church, Naples, in the Diocese of Southwest Florida.
We are excited to see Nick's ministry advance in this direction, and Jessica reports that it's an answer to her prayers.
Trinity-by-the-Cove will be blessed to have this family as part of their church family, and we at St. Agnes' will truly miss them.
Join us on May 20th as we wish Happy Trails to the Caccese's!
May God watch over them as they make their transition to Florida!

Off to Iowa for Sinclair, Emily, Helen, and Danielle!
The Ender's are headed back to their home state of Iowa in early June.
We were thrilled to hear the news that Sinclair will become a Curate at
Trinity Cathedral, Davenport, in the Diocese of Iowa!
Lieutenant Ender will also serve in an official capacity as a Chaplain in the United States Navy.
Although Sinclair's official field assignment was at St. Barnabas' Tullahoma, the Ender's have been part of our extended church family the entire time they have been in Sewanee.
The journey through ministry took them back home to Iowa, but we will miss seeing them here at St. Agnes'!
Please note that The Rev'd Deacon Sinclair will provide our sermon on May 20th, which will be his family's last official Sunday with us.

Off to Tennessee Tech for Pearson!
Pearson Neal Garner will spend the summer with us, but then in August he will enroll at Tennessee Technological University where he will study Computer Engineering.
Pearson will be part of a family legacy when he gets to Tennessee Tech.
His grandfather Steve, his father Wes, and his mother Laura are Tech alumni. His sister Abby is enrolled at Tech and will graduate in December.
We know that Pearson will have a great experience, and we will still see him on Sunday's from time to time.

Off to Nashville for Fr. Martin and Funmi!
The Venerable Martin Odidi and the Funmi Odidi will complete their programs of study and receive their respective degrees at the School of Theology on May 11th.
The Odidi's will be with us at St. Agnes' through the month of June, but then they will relocate to Nashville.
Fr. Martin will join the staff at St. George's Episcopal Church, a congregation that is near and dear to us at St. Agnes'.
We will certainly miss seeing them on Sunday's, but they won't be too far "up the road" from us!

There's lots to celebrate on May 20th!

Whitsunday / The Day of Pentecost - May 20th
Sunday, May 20th, is when the Great 50 days of Eastertide conclude. We call this the Day of Pentecost / Whitsunday.
We will hold a festival service that day with the altar adorned in red to symbolize the "Tongues as of Fire" mentioned in the Book of Acts.
Remember to
wear something red
when you come to church that day..

Commencement Luncheon on May 20th
Following the 11:00 service on Whitsunday we will hold a Commencement Luncheon in the parish hall for our graduates.
This will be a picnic style meal with sandwiches, salads, and other good sides.
This will also be a Happy Trails time for the Caccese's and the Ender's. Hope to see you then!
