Happy New Year! Let's hope that 2026 is full of joy and new adventures for you. Many folks take the opportunity of the new year to start fresh. A blank calendar, a clean desk, an empty book shelf can be a wonderful mind reset. In that spirit we encourage you to find a new way to reset your day to day by using the library. Explore a new book genre, or check out a book to learn a new craft, or find a classic that you always pretend you read but never have.
We have lots of programs to help you start the new year off right as well. Qi gong, which is a mindful movement class. Or chair yoga with Dee Marshall, or meditation with Kath Meadows. Our storytimes will start back up the second week of January to help all those cute little ones to experience the love of books. Our elementary aged kids can get excited to have STEAM Club and Crafternoon back as well. While you are doing a new year reset be sure to clean out your book shelves. We will be accepting gently used books starting January 23 for the FOSL book sale at the end of month. Please no magazines, books that are falling apart, textbooks or reference books older than 5 years. This year we hope to see you more and more here at the library.
