Hey City!
It’s hard to believe that summer is almost over. It feels like just yesterday that the students left town, freeing up an abundance of parking spots I never knew existed! Ha!
With the approach of August 1 st comes the reality that many young people are moving back into our town. Some are joining us in CoMo for the first time, while others are returning to the place they now call home. Their return brings a special opportunity for each of us to help these young adults find a home here in The City.
The Neighborhood has been working all summer to create a schedule that will hopefully draw students to our doors. However, that’s only one piece of the puzzle. The best way for The Neighborhood to be successful in reaching our college-age neighbors is through relationships! The more they feel like a member of The City, the more likely they are to invest in the movement we’re creating.
So, I invite you to join me over the next few weeks in prayer for our Neighborhood. Each day, take just five minutes to pray for the Holy Spirit to be at work on our surrounding campuses. As we prayerfully see an increase in college-age people within our community in The City, I ask that you actively and warmly welcome them into the fold. Get their name, learn their story, and maybe even invite them out for a post-church coffee. In doing so, you can create a bit of heaven in The City.

Shop here for City Gear!!
Have you been wondering when the opportunity would come when you could purchase some cool City gear??

Well, here it is folks, check the link below to go to our online apparel store and do just that. Store will be open about two weeks and apparel will be delivered about two weeks after that.

We try to give you a heads up when Sunday morning parking might be especially difficult. We have heard that on Aug. 4, Brookside has paid the city to reserve all of the parking meters in front and on the side of the church for move-in weekend, allowing no street parking for services. Please allow a little extra time to get to church. Remember that we always have permission to park in the University’s Hitt Street Garage on Sunday mornings, and our amazing volunteers provide a golf cart shuttle service.

Seekers Class July/August
Leader: Jim Bryan
The Seekers class is excited to announce that Jim Bryan, former senior pastor at Missouri United Methodist Church will be leading a six-week study on the four gospels now through Aug. 11. All adults are welcome to attend Sundays at 9:15am in room 302. You are asked to bring your Bible and a pencil or pen for note taking.
Community is what we are focusing on this year in our Socials. Whether you are new to The City, or have yet to attend, we wanna get to know ya!

Walking into a church the first time can be difficult. We don't think that is the only place to connect, swing by a social and say "Hey! What's up?" This summer we are hosting socials like the ones we did last year that so many of you said you loved. Let me know if you are up for another one in July or August. Go here to get more information and sign up. Stay on the look out, we'll be sharing dates for Socials all summer. As always, bring a friend, the more the merrier.
