Happy retirement and thank you for 25 years of service, Curt Randa
We would like to congratulate and thank Curt Randa for his 25 years of service! Curt started with the City as the urban forester and became the Parks & Recreation Director in 2006. When he started in Parks & Recreation, the department had about 13 employees, the City had a population of 15,000 and one park. Now the department has around 50 employees, the City has a population of over 80,000 and seven major parks. Park acreage went from 300 to over 1000! Curt has been known for his passion to save trees and kindness toward others. Curt, you will be missed!

Recycle yard trimmings begins April 1, no foolin'
Yard trimmings such as leaves and grass clippings must be placed in brown paper yard waste bags, separately from trash cans and extra items. Do not place yard waste in plastic bags — they will be put in the trash. Wet bags will not be picked up due to weight and risk of breakage.
Tree and shrub trimmings must be no more than 4 feet in length and no more than 4 inches in diameter each, weigh no more than 40 pounds and be placed in bundles that are tied with rope or twine. During this yard trimmings recycling period, yard trimmings may be placed in addition to your bulk items limit of 7 items outside of your trash cart.

Trash 101: Your guide to Cedar Park's refuse services and schedule
- Trash pickup is weekly
- Recycling is every other week
- When Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Year's Day fall on a weekday, collection days will move to the following day
- You can dispose up to seven bulk trash items, but please be aware that a second truck may arrive to collect them if needed
- Yard trimmings recycling happens two times a year. They will go to recycling rather than the landfill and don't count toward your seven bulk items
- Fridays are the Household Hazardous Waste Front Porch Pickup collection day. Schedule your pickup by midnight on Wednesday for collection on Friday
