Cedar Park Stands with Central Texas: A Ribbon of Reflection

The City of Cedar Park stands with Kerrville, Hunt, and surrounding communities devastated by recent flooding. The Heritage Tree has been adorned with a green ribbon as a symbol of recognition of the lives lost, compassion, hope and renewal. The ribbon will remain on the Heritage Tree until July 14.

Cedar Park First Responders

On behalf of our staff and our community, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to the first responders and City of Cedar Park staff who worked tirelessly during the flash floods over the Fourth of July weekend.

Their dedication, quick response, and commitment to public safety did not go unnoticed. Whether they were out in the field in Cedar Park, assisting neighbors in rescuing residents, clearing roadways, managing emergency operations, or providing vital updates, the efforts helped protect lives and restore a sense of safety during a very challenging time.

The Fire Department was deployed to assist Liberty Hill and Leander. Prompt response by the Cedar Park Fire Department resulted in seven rescues, six of them by boat.

Cedar Park Homeland Security & Emergency Management completed 24 missions flown and over 8.5 hours of flight operations.

We are especially thankful for your sacrifice over the holiday. Employees' selflessness is the hallmark of true public service, and we are incredibly proud to have such a devoted team serving Cedar Park.
